    Puppy Linux

    Hi!

I have a sony vaio fw laptop, with a 1920x1080 screen. I want to put puppy linux on my flash drive, which requires booting from the cd and running the wizard. anyways, i can't for the life of me get the os to run with the proper resolution for my screen. i've tried both xorg and xvesa (i think thats what its called) and the highest i can get to work is 1440x1024 which looks really blurry and stretched. this is annoying, makes everything look real ugly, and makes me not want to use puppy at all.

    Any insight on this?

Looks like Puppy won't support your ati radeon hd 3650 out of the box

However, you can find the driver for your card/chip in the thread I will post below. Just download the pet pkg driver that corresponds with your ati radeon hd 3650. Left click the pet pkg driver after download. Pet pkg manager will install it automatically for you.

If you are running Live. Unless you save your session. After shutting down the driver will be gone. So you need to save your session to keep the driver installed.
