I'm not a mac user either but have you tried a restore point to before you deleted the driver? How did you install the drivers on XP in the first place?

Somehow the drivers had to have been installed when you set XP up. Did you do so from a CD/DVD?

I can only do a system restore for today, so that doesn't help
