EEEEWWWW another Test drive when I get the time. You aint gonna believe this dohbar. Wife had a girlfriend from work bring me a Acer Aspire 5670 to look at. Mouse locked up after XP Home sp3 Desktop came up. Had to unplug battery to turn off. Rebooted into Safe Mode and ran a Norton Scan (full scan, took forever) said it was clean. Rebooted and this time I got to symantic icon on task bar and turned on real time protection (it was off lol) and downloaded malwarebytes and installed to run a check. After starting scan what pops up? Symantic realtime protection has detected Trojan BrisVAinf. Can't delete. Can't quarintine. Access denied. C\ my documents whatever. A lotta good Norton Corporate Anti-virus is at the moment. I'll probably be posting a Hijack this Log for the first time in my life. I can't believe it. ME. The girl at work said to my wife, " I hear your husband is really good with computers and runs Linux and everything". My wife goes, "sure, he'll look at it". Don't you just love it when the better half volunteers your services. Like I know what the hell I'm doing decontaminating Windows. I am gonna hate having to start a thread here with all the hits Neal and VOP This have to deal with. I'll Probably have Broni take a stab at it first. I aint gonna delete or Quarintine anything with Mbam just yet. I wanna see what it digs up first. Boy I sure don't miss Windows.

I've downloaded the iso and will probably install later this week.

Yeppers...I get those from time to time also...LOLOLOL except I have to do the actual cleaning. My family and friends know that I used to be a HJT Helper a few years ago so every once in awhile I get asked to clean a friends PC. I've retired from HJT helping for now...will probably get back into it later after work settles down.

I'm sure Broni will enjoy the challenge...LOLOL
