Running Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron on IBM M-41 1.128 gig Ram, P4,40 gig ide hardrive,Ibm crt moniter. When going to the first post of a thread ,I get the wording of the post over in the right hand side of screen over by Member Panel and DAL Partners. Right now while Posting this thread all the smileys are on the right hand side of post window. Are there any fixes for this? I will be slow in posting back as I think I might have broke my ankle this weekend and am getting around on crutches.

After going to my Harley Davidson Tech forums and another 2 computer tech forums the above stated problem is only related to this forum/site.

Try logging out and deleting the cookies and try again.

Well thats weird. I tried viewing logged out and everything is fine. I only have this problem after logging in.

Did you turn off Firefox then back on?

And or rebooting.

Is this a new problem? Did it ever work OK?

I have the Heron on another hard drive but have never used it with DAL.

If the problem persists I will try it out.

Did you catch my previous post before you posted? I can try leaving firefox if ya think it'll work. I had deleted all personal data under tools menu and reentered site. Like I said earlier, logged out I'm OK, Logged in SNAFU.And no it never worked OK even when I was just using O/S as a live CD to test it out. It had that problem even then but I just diregarded it as a fluke or bug till I went to other sites and found this site was the only one that was affected this way. OWW my leg.

Tried your suggestion. logged out of DAL. Went to google and wiped cookies and everything else. Closed Firefox. Rebooted. Started everything back up. SOS

I'll try later tonight to boot into Heron/Firefox and see what I see.
