Thumbs up Best Distro for My Laptop

Does anyone know what the best distro is for may laptop? It's an HP Pavilion tx1115nr (more specs in signature). I need to have all the drivers and I critically need the WiFi working. If there is no distro best for my laptop, can someone give me a distro in which you can find the drivers for? If possible, I have used Fedora 8 KDE Live and thought it was the best for me, so find drivers for this distro.

    Thanks in advance.

This thread was posted a few days ago with a link to a site that helps you choose the best Linux distribution.

I've used OpenSuse on my Gateway Laptop and it automatically found and installed the drivers for my built in Wifi, so it may be capable of doing the same for your laptop.

The problem is, I have tried openSUSE, but it was a KDE 4.0 release. Should I try KDE 3.5? My WiFi driver, bcm43xx, is very hard to get working. Now that I'm on the subject, can you provide clear details on how to install software for KDE? I have not even gotten 1 piece of software to install.

Ok, the KDE 4.0 release was not by openSUSE, but it was simply based on it I guess, I got it off sourceforge.

I tried Kubuntu on a desktop PC and I decided I liked it so I decided to install it on my laptop as a main OS, but the live CD never loads. My screen turns white, then darkens, and dots appear, then it simply becomes a white blotch on my screen, and just stays like that. I cannot figure out what to do.

Could be the Live Cd not talking to the graphics card properly?
I'm sure someone else will give you the proper explanation to this for you.

Interesting, I tried the new Hardy Heron release and it worked fine, so problem solved, but can someone give me the exact steps to setup my bcm43xx WLAN card?
