Firewire not seen in Windows environment
I am working on a mixed node environment with 3 Macintosh systems and 4 PCS. One of the Macintosh's has a Firewire external HD attached to it. The Firewire is be used like a Filesharing server. The other 2 Macintoshes see the Firewire from the network without a problem. I obtained the IP address of the Mac with the Firewire and am able to ping without a problem. I can connect to the Mac from the Pc with Network mapping I see other shared directories on the Mac. However I am unable to see the attached Firewire HD. Can anyone assist me in configuring the Firewire for PC's to see it on the Network.
Thanks.

This is a security feature on all Macs. You can only access the Public folder on a Mac. However, Apple do offer advice on this but it is opening the Mac to ALL access. You need to obtain a Mac OS X server. For details please go to:

Hope this helps.
