Yes. It does depend on what sort of connection you have between the systems. However, they do work on the same 'file sharing' setup. You have to make sure you have file sharing enabled on both computers. To ensure a windows system can read files from a Mac system the file must end with the relevant suffix. For example, a Word document must end with '.doc', a Photoshop document must end with '.tif' or '.gif'..etc.
