    hi
well i got rid of the gnome desktop and used kdi looks good but i have spent three days trying to install a speed touch modem with no success say what you want about windows but it knocks spots off the opposition when you are a beginner.

    back to XP for me

The best way to go is with a serial modem that will work with linux. Hook it up & put in user name & password. Zoom has a USB modem that will work. I have not tried it. I think it is around $50.00. I have a Best Data serial modem. It was easy to set up. You need to call your ISP to fine out if linux will work on there service.
