Question 39
“What are the tasks that the person usually performs in the occupation reported at Question 38?”
Last night we had the Census in Australia, and for me, this was the most difficult question. My job covers a lot of territory: receiving goods in from suppliers; sending goods out to customers; receiving defective goods back from customers; returning defective goods to suppliers; sending replacement goods to customers, who in the meantime have bought their own replacement somewhere else – well, they say, after three and a half years of waiting we just gave up; writing out consignment notes; tearing up consignment notes when the sales rep says “I’m going out that way, I’ll deliver it myself”; answering emails from sales reps; emailing sales reps and waiting three and a half years for an answer;going outside for a walk when the bull**** gets too deep; keeping unauthorized visitors out of the store room; throwing things at unauthorized visitors to the store room; throwing unauthorized visitors out of the store room; and just lately, emptying the bins.
The space provided for the answer was hardly bigger than two postage stamps side by side. So instead of all that I wrote, “Supplying sex aids to old age pensioners.”

And guess what? I'm a collector for the Census again. I was silly enough to go back for the second time.
I do agree there isn't much room on the form. Cant wait to see their faces when they read that though.
